Social Media and Content Manager - INTERN

The Social Media and Content Manager is a member of the Marketing team, and is primarily responsible for ideating, producing, and editing original content across IBL's social channels, with an emphasis on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Highlights. This role will require a keen understanding of the TikTok landscape (along with other vertical-content platforms) and the ability to produce content that inserts IBL and the sport into the social conversation. This role requires the flexibility to travel and to be available nights and weekends throughout the year.

Education and Experience
  • 4-year degree or completing a degree from an accredited university in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or related field
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of TikTok; understanding what type of content works well and what doesn't work on the platform
  • Proficient video editing skills/experience
  • Experience with Photoshop is a must
  • Demonstrated awareness of trends, viral moments, and pop culture
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for baseball preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinates distribution of marketing materials
  • Ideates and produces creative original vertical content related to the game of baseball and our players, extending beyond the on-field product
  • Optimizes on-field content for use on IBL platforms, especially TikTok (but also including Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, Snapchat, and YouTube Shorts)
  • Identifies social media trends and ways in which baseball can be incorporated into those trends in a timely manner
  • Cultivates a relatable, casual voice on the IBL TikTok account
  • Films content on smartphone then edits that content to be distributed across IBL platforms
  • Stays up-to-date on new platform features and identifies opportunities to capitalize on those features
  • Monitors social media to recognize trends in sports and pop culture
  • Identifies opportunities for two-way conversations between IBL and our fans

  • Executes against project plans to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks
  • Collaborates with manager and stakeholders to support business needs
  • Communicates in a clear and concise manner that is easy to understand
