“We are extremely excited to bring a middle of the lineup bat like Riley into Hamilton this season, he also gives Coach Castelli flexibility with an ability to play both corner infield spots, DH and also catch.” said GM Jeff Lounsbury. “The raw power and ability to hit for average will make our lineup even more dangerous and deeper.”
Riley will be coming to Ontario from British Columbia and is “excited for the opportunity that the Cardinals have given me. Looking forward to competing and building on the late season playoff success.”
The Hamilton Cardinals are members of Ontario’s most elite baseball league, The Intercounty Baseball League. The 101 year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, established in 1919.
