Winnipeg Native Filmon Signs with the Majors

LONDON - The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of 6'4" outfielder Adam Filmon for the 2021 season.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native joins the team after playing for Thompson River University in Kamloops BC for the past 4 years. A consistent contact hitter with an average above .350 in the CCBC (Canadian College Baseball Conference) along with 17 RBIs all in 27 games in 2019.

Filmon is already raving about the fans and the history of Labatt park and the franchise when asked about joining the team. "I am extremely excited to be playing for Roop during the 2021 season and working on bringing a championship to London. I have heard nothing but great things about playing for the Majors organization, Roop and the fans!"

Co-Owner, Manager and General Manager Roop Chanerdat was asked about what he likes about Filmon, "Adam is a good young player that will help in the outfield and can play all three OF positions.  He is a good contact hitter that has always hit for a high average.  Adam is a mature young man that is of high character and will fit in well with our team."

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League.
