Warken homers, drives in five in Welland's win

TORONTO -- Cole Warken went 3-for-3 with a home run, five RBI and scored once in the Welland Jackfish's 9-8 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Sunday afternoon at Dominico Field at Christie Pits.
Griffin Keller went 2-for-4 with a solo blast in the fifth, and Brendon Dadson singled twice, drove in one and scored once. Matt Hilderbrandt and Mike Wagner both had a hit and scored twice.
Will Jackman (3-2) earned the win in relief. He threw two innings and gave up an earned run on three hits with a strikeout. Zachary Cameron picked up his second save after shutting the door in 1.2 innings. He didn't allow a run on one hit, striking out two and walking two. Jake Polancic opened the game with three scoreless innings, yielding two hits without issuing a walk or strikeout.
Justin Marra went 2-for-6 for the Leafs, driving in three and scoring three times. Garret Takamatsu also had three hits and an RBI, Jordan Castaldo singled twice and scored twice, and Ryan Santos went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run. Marcus Knecht and Damon Topolie drove in a run apiece.
Kyle Perrett (2-1) suffered the loss, giving up three runs on three hits in an inning. He walked one and struck out one.
Zach Sloan started and went two innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits with a walk.
Welland improved to 10-10, and the Leafs dropped to 9-9.
