Toronto re-signs pitcher Dustin Richardson

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@iblmapleleafs) announced today the signing of Left Handed Pitcher Dustin Richardson.

Richardson returns for his 5th season with Toronto. Prior to joining the Leafs Richardson spent 10 years in MILB and parts of 2 seasons in the Major Leagues with the Boston Red Sox. Richardson pitched in 29 games with the Sox picking up 12 strikeouts in 16.1 Innings. In his 10 year minor career he had 644 strikeouts in 596.2 Innings with a 39-27 record and 12 saves.

 In 4 years in the IBL Richardson is 1-1 with 6 saves with 81 strikeouts in 39.2 Innings. Last season he had an outstanding playoffs with a 1-0 record, 1 save and 14 strikeouts in 8.1 innings in 4 games.
