Toronto re-signs pitcher Adam Marra

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@iblmapleleafs) announced today the signing veteran left-handed pitcher Adam Marra.

Adam returns this season to continue playing with his brothers Dan and Justin for his 9th season with the Leafs.

Last season, Adam reached a career high in games with 23 appearances. He pitched 25.1 Innings with a 1-1 record and a career high 3 saves, with 13 strikeouts.

After playing OBJ baseball, Adam continued playing ball at Mount Mercy University and graduated in 2018. In his IBL career he has 101 appearances, 154.2 IP, a record of 6-6 with 5 saves and 94 strikeouts.

"A lefthanded reliever is very valuable to any pitching staff. He complements our other relievers, gives us a different look and he will take the ball whenever given the opportunity.” GM Jeff Lounsbury

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
