Toronto re-signs infielder Jordan Castaldo

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@iblmapleleafs) announced today the signing of 1st Baseman Jordan Castaldo (Toronto, On)

The 6'1" , 210 lb, 35 year old Castaldo is coming back for another season in the IBL. Castaldo graduated from Arkansas State and has made stops in Oshawa, Barrie and is now in his 4th year in his 2nd stint with the Leafs. Castaldo is one of the greatest hitters to ever play in the IBL. He has won MVP awards, numerous All-Star Selections and many IBL Championships. He is a career .350 hitter (640-1828). His 640 hits is 6th all time in the IBL. He also sits 5th All-Time with 120 2B's, 4th All-Time in HR's with 92 and 5th All-Time in RBI's with 455. Last season in 40 games Castaldo hit .324 (47-145) with 8 2B's, 7 HR's and 40 RBI's and was named a 2nd Team All-Star.
