Starlin Peralta returns to the IBL with Hamilton

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) are pleased to announce the signing of Right Handed Pitcher Starlin Peralta (Nagua, DR).

Starlin is returning for his 2nd season in the IBL after spending the 2018 season with the London Majors. In 2018, Starlin was an IBL 2nd Team All-Star with a 8-2 record with 85 strikeouts in 84 Innings pitched with an ERA of 3.32

Prior to 2018, Peralta spent 9 seasons in the minors with a career record of 35-37 with a 4.25 ERA. He had 474 strikeouts in 573.1 Innings pitched. Peralta made it AAA in 2016 with the Iowa Cubs.

"We saw a lot of Starlin in 2018 and I was always impressed with his bull dog mentality and desire to win. Our players talked about how much they did not like to face him, and when the opportunity came to have him join us I felt he would make an immediate impact on our club."  stated GM Jeff Lounsbury

The Hamilton Cardinals are a member of Ontario's most elite baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
