Six-run third lifts Leafs

TORONTO – A six-run third inning lifted Toronto past London on Saturday. 

Jordan Castaldo hit a solo home run for the Leafs in their 8-5 victory. Justin Marra went 3-for-4 with three RBI, Jhon Javier had two hits and scored a run, and Ryan Dos Santos and Spenser Ross each had an RBI.  

Josh Berenbaum (4-4) went five innings for the win and allowed three runs on seven hits. He walked three and struck out three. Luis Florentino struck out two to earn his first save of 2025.  

Toby Simmons and Raphael Pelletier each hit solo home runs for the Majors (22-14). Francisco Fajardo added a two-run blast, and Tucker Zdunich had two hits.  

Colby Ring (1-2) gave up seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and four walks in 2.1 innings.  

Toronto improved to 16-20, and London fell to 22-14.
