Royals sweep Majors
LONDON – Guelph finished a three-game sweep of London on Sunday with a 10-4 win at Labatt Park.
Liam Wilson went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a pair of RBI for the sixth-place Royals. J.D. Williams singled twice, drove in a run and stole pair of bases, Garrett Takamatsu and Carson Burns each had two hits, two runs and an RBI, Matthew Ward drove in a run, and Franklin Torres went 2-for-5, scored twice and swiped a base.
Antonio Frias (1-0) went five innings for the win on the mound. He allowed two runs on three hits and struck out two.
Raphael Pelletier hit a solo home run for the third-seed Majors. Eduardo De Oleo went 3-for-4 with two RBI, Dre Amaral hit a sacrifice fly, and Francisco Fajardo singled, doubled and scored a run.
Colby Ring (0-1) gave up two runs on four hits in 2.2 innings to take the loss. He walked two and struck out one.
