LONDON - The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of eight-year veteran outfielder Byron Reichstein.

The former Southern Arkansas Mulerider returns to the Majors where he has been a stalwart in right field. This past summer not only did Byron continue to improve for this upcoming season but also appeared on Majors Quarantine Corner where he committed to buying a stuffed animal for every interaction on the video and having it at the home opener this season. After the game, all the stuffed toys will be donated in London. “Some of them are fighting for their lives or there for treatment and I wanna give back to the community” Reichstein continued.

The St. Thomas native knows that the Majors are a historic part of the city of London and knows how special it is to put on the uniform each and every chance he has “I am looking forward to getting back on the field and playing for Roop and the London Majors this upcoming season!”

Co-Owner, Manager and General Manager Roop Chanderdat spoke highly of Byron when asked about the importance of bringing him back for the 2021 season “It’s great to have Byron back for another season with the Majors.  He is one of our core veteran players that we are looking to help lead this team to a championship. The London Majors team is fully entrenched in the London community and we fully support Byron’s charitable efforts."

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
