LONDON -- Pedro De Los Santos threw eight shutouts innings, and Byron Reichstein drilled a three-run homer in the London Majors' 5-2 win over Hamilton Saturday night at Labatt Park.

De Los Santos (4-0) scattered five hits and walked five while striking out nine. Keith Kandel whiffed the side in the ninth for his first save after taking over for Cory Hammond, who ran into trouble to start the inning.

At the plate, Reichstein finished with three hits, while Hayden Jaco went 2-for-4 with a solo blast. Chris McQueen and Carlos Arteaga each went 2-for-5 with a run.

London moved to 8-3 and trails Kitchener by a half game atop the IBL standings.

Chris Lazar went seven innings for the Cards (6-6), giving up five runs (four earned) on 12 hits with eight strikeouts.

Nathan Scragg did most of Hamilton's offensive damage, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
