Red Sox wins second straight

BRANTFORD – Ethan Paulos’ two-out single scored Lucas Bateman in the bottom of the seventh to snap a 1-1 tie against Kitchener and give the Brantford Red Sox its second straight win.

Eight different Brantford players registered hits – all singles – in the 2-1 victory.

Red Sox starting pitcher Jeremias Sucre (2-1) went seven innings for the win. He gave up a run on four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts.

Aidan Armitage struck out one in a scoreless ninth for his first save of the season as Brantford improved to 3-7.

Raul Gonzalez doubled and scored for the Panthers (2-8).

Dakota Parsons took the loss on the mound, giving up two runs (one earned) on seven hits over six innings. He walked one and struck out nine.
