Red Sox snap 10-game skid

BRANTFORD – Brantford snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 10-4 home win on Friday over Chatham-Kent.  

Jakob Cantor went 2-for-5 with three RBI for the Red Sox (7-27). Cassidy Watt had two hits and two RBI, Rene Tachioka drove in a run and scored three times, Lucas Lefebvre went 2-for-4, and Brody Black and Ethan Paulos both had an RBI.  

Connor Irvine earned the win on the mound. Only one of the four runs he allowed over five innings was earned. He scattered six hits, walked three and fanned four.  

Yushin Ohta and Mitsuki Fukuda each drove in a run for the Barnstormers (18-16). Torrin Vaselenak went 3-for-4.  

Aden Ryan was charged with six runs on six hits in 2.2 innings to take the loss. He walked one and struck out one.
