Red Sox rebound with win in Welland

WELLAND -- One day after its three-game win streak was snapped, the Brantford Red Sox picked up another victory.
Six players had multi-hit games and drove in at least one run in a 9-6 win Thursday night in Welland. Jacob Reid and Aidan Muir had two hits and two RBI apiece. They combined to score three runs. Zach Lampreia also drove in a pair, while Roger Keen singled, doubled and drove in a run. Robbie Gauthier went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs, Michael Deluca singled three times and scored twice, and Liam Sutherland went 2-for-5 with an RBI.
Gabe Bruder (1-0) went 6.2 innings for the win, allowing six runs on 10 hits. He walked one and struck out one. Jason Pineda struck out one in a scoreless ninth for his first save.
Griffin Keller homered and drove in three to lead the Jackfish. Brendon Dadson doubled and drove in two, and Nolan Pettipiece had the other RBI. Dane Tofteland and Matt Hilderbrandt had two hits apiece.
Brett Lawson (0-1) took the loss, allowing seven runs on 10 hits in five innings. He struck out four and didn't issue a walk.
Brantford improved to 9-16, while Welland fell to 12-12.
