Red Sox earn second win

BRANTFORD – Jamiel Orozco’s two-run double capped a three-run seventh inning that sent the Brantford Red Sox to a 6-2 win over Hamilton Wednesday night at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

Jesse Fishbaum and Evan Ryan each drove in a run, with Fishbaum adding a pair of stolen bases. Brodie MacKay scored twice.

Gabe Bruder (1-5) picked up the win with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief. He yielded two hits and struck out three. Andre Wojtarowicz started and went three scoreless innings, giving up two hits and two walks while striking out five.

Tyler Duncan and Sean Pettener drove in Hamilton’s runs. Aidan Muir went 3-for-4 and Jeremie Veilleux had two hits.

Sam Turcotte (0-4) took the loss, giving up five runs on two hits over 6.2 innings. He walked five and struck out eight.

Brantford improved to 2-21, and Hamilton fell to 6-17.
