Red Sox clobber Barnstormers

CHATHAM – Luke Allen hit his first home run of the season and drove in four to lead Brantford to a 16-6 win in Chatham on Saturday.

Gus Wilson drove in two on two hits for Brantford (5-10). Vaibhav Desai and Graham Tebbit each had two hits, two runs and an RBI, David Alvarez drove in a run and scored four times, and Kieran Bowles, Nick Burdett and Jeremie Veilleux all had an RBI.

Josh Laukkanen (2-1) gave up four runs on nine hits over six innings for the win. He walked one and struck out one.

Seth Strong and Daniel Battel drove in two runs apiece for Chatham-Kent (6-10). Spencer Marcus went 3-for-5 and scored twice while Anthony Polowick and Noah Murciano each drove in a run.

Cam O’Reilly (1-2) took the loss after giving up seven runs (six earned) on five hits over four innings. He walked four and struck out two.
