Panthers snap skid
KITCHENER – The Kitchener Panthers snapped a three-game losing skid with a 6-3 win over Guelph on Sunday at Jack Couch Park.
Raul Gonzalez hit a pair of solo home runs for the Panthers (4-12). Nick Parsons also went deep with the bases empty. Blake Jacklin drove in two, Spenser Ross had an RBI, and Kenny DiClemente and Spencer Voisin each had two hits.
Panthers starting pitcher Dakota Parsons (1-4) fanned 10 over six innings for the win. He allowed three runs on three hits with two walks. Nathan Laird pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
J.D. Williams hit a three-run blast for the Royals (9-5). Ryosuke Ohashi doubled and scored.
Hector Yan (2-2) gave up four runs on seven hits over five innings in the loss. He walked three and struck out three.
