Panthers score early, often in win over Red Sox

BRANTFORD -- The Kitchener Panthers scored seven times in the first inning and cruised to a 15-7 win over the Brantford Red Sox Friday at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

Ryley Davenport went 2-for-6 with a home run and four RBI for the Panthers (6-2). Andy Leader went 3-for-7 with two RBI and a run, Lucas Diluca scored three times, Liam WIlson singled twice and scored twice while driving in a run, Evyn Sherman had three hits, two runs and an RBI, Blake Jacklin went 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBI, and Jett Jarvis and AJ Karosas each had an RBI in the 17-hit attack.

Christian Hauck (2-0) went six innings for the win. He allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits with a walk and three strikeouts.

For Brantford (3-7), Gianfranco Morello singled, tripled and scored twice while driving in a run. Colton Fountain, Roger Keen, Jacob Reid and Ricky Murray all had an RBI, while Michael Deluca singled twice, scored twice and added a stolen base. 

Kyle Lev (0-1) was tagged for seven runs on six hits with three walks in a first inning that required 51 pitches.
