Odd, Garces lead Baycats in London
LONDON – Adam Odd drove in three with a bases-clearing double, and Frank Garces tossed seven shutout innings in the Barrie Baycats’ 4-0 win Friday night in London.
Odd broke open a scoreless game in the top of the sixth with a fly ball to left field just out of Starlin Joseph’s reach as the Majors’ outfielder made a diving attempt. Ryan Rijo’s RBI single in the eighth inning capped the scoring after a brief rain delay in the seventh.
Majors’ starting pitcher Jose Arias took the loss.
Barrie improved to 7-2, and London fell to 6-3.
