Mullen and Boon Are Rawlings Players of the Month for May

In partnership with Rawlings Canada, the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) is proud to announce its Players of the Month for May. These standout performers made an immediate impact to open the 2025 season, showcasing elite talent on both sides of the ball.


Batter of the Month – ROBERT MULLEN, Welland Jackfish

 Welland catcher Robert Mullen delivered a blistering .458 batting average in May, going 11-for-24 with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs, and 3 walks. His offensive firepower helped the Jackfish surge to an undefeated start and establish themselves as early championship contenders.

Honourable Mention: Kaiden Cardoso – London Majors .400 AVE, 12 Hits, 3 HR, 11 RBI,  6 BB


Pitcher of the Month – OWEN BOON, Hamilton Cardinals

Veteran ace Owen Boon was in midseason form throughout May, anchoring Hamilton’s rotation. In 12 innings pitched, Boon posted a dominant 2.25 ERA, allowing just 7 hits and striking out 17 batters while walking only 4. He finished the month with a 1–0 record.
