Marras lead Leafs past Red Sox

BRANTFORD – Dan and Justin Marra each drove in a pair of runs to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 9-3 win over Brantford Friday night at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

Jose Vinicio and Dawson Parks both had a pair of hits and an RBI for Toronto (24-17). Greg Carrington went 2-for-3 with two runs, while Connor Lewis and Johnathan Solazzo each drove in a run and scored.

Dustin Richardson (1-1) struck out all four batters he faced in relief to pick up the win. He entered in the sixth inning after Angel Castro struck out eight over the first five. Castro scattered four hits and allowed two runs (one earned).

Andrew Gorecki went 2-for4 with an RBI for the Red Sox (2-38). Roger Keen drove in the other run. Nick Burdett went 3-for-4.

Danny Howat (0-3) suffered the loss, giving up three runs on five hits over six innings. He walked three and fanned four.
