Shortened Week Ten Across the Intercounty Baseball League, of course highlighted by the All-Star Showdown in Hamilton, was not short on standout performances across the league.   Time to honor this week's HRD Bat Co. Player and Pitcher of the Week .

Player of the Week -  Spencer Marcus - Chatham Kent Barnstormers  

Spencer Marcus batted .545 last week  with 2 HR and 7 RBI in efforts to help his Barnstormers maintain their hold on 4th place in the standings in a very tight race.

Pitcher of the Week - Brandon Deans - Guelph Royals

As play-by-play announcer Mark Pare said of Brandon Deans'   performance Saturday night, "He was all gas and no breaks."      Deans takes home the weekly honors, pitching 7 innings, allowing 2 hits, 3 walks and striking out 11 to power his Guelph Royals to a much-needed victory.
