Maple Leafs Takamatsu Named MIAA All-Star

The Toronto Maple Leafs, proud members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) today announced that Leafs catcher/infielder has been named a Mid-America Intercollegiate athletics association third-team all-star for the 2021 season.

In 33 games played this season with Central Oklahoma, he has recorded a .373 average with 10 doubles, 1 triple, 5 home runs, with 29 RBI.

With the Maple Leafs, Takamatsu has recorded a career .319 average with 10 doubles, 3 home runs, and 22 RBI. Garrett was named the IBL Rookie of the Year following the 2018 season.

The Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
