Majors win third straight

TORONTO – London beat Toronto 10-6 on Sunday at Dominico Field for its third straight win.  

Eduardo De Oleo hit a solo home run for the second-place Majors (17-10), who sit four games behind Welland. Francisco Fajardo, Josh Niles and Dre Amaral all had two hits and two RBI. Toby Simmons drove in a run and scored twice, and Tucker Zdunich went 3-for-5 with an RBI. 

Colby Ring (1-1) picked up the win after 3.1 scoreless, two-hit innings of relief. He walked three and struck out two. Alex Springer started and allowed three runs on four with two walks and a strikeout in one inning. Skylar Janisse threw the last two innings for his third save in as many days. He has a league-best eight saves.  

Dennis Dei Baning led the Leafs (12-15) with three hits, including a three-run home run in the seventh inning. He also added an RBI single in the first. Chad Picton and Aidan McAskie each drove in a run, and Jhon Javier singled twice.  

Adam Jafine (0-3) took the loss after allowing seven runs on eight hits in four innings. He walked one and fanned five.
