Majors win for fifth time in six games

LONDON – London earned its fifth win in six games with a 4-1 victory over the Hamilton Cardinals Friday night at Labatt Park.

Cleveland Brownlee had two hits and an RBI for the Majors (8-10). Byron Reichstein drove in a run and scored, Carlos Arteaga had an RBI, and Mike Ambrose doubled and scored twice.

Migel Burgos (2-2) went 6.2 innings for the win, allowing an unearned run on four hits with four walks and eight strikeouts. Jon Fitzsimmons recorded the last seven outs for his second save. He struck out four without a walk.

Justin Gideon had two of Hamilton's five hits, and Jacob Martins singled and scored.

Chris Lazar was saddled with the loss. He surrendered two runs on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts.

Hamilton dropped to 6-6.
