Majors use longball to best Red Sox

BRANTFORD – London hit four home runs and cruised to a 16-1 win over Brantford Wednesday night at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

Daniel Perrier singled, homered and drove in four, Austin Wilkie hit a three-run blast, Starling Joseph homered and drove in two and Jakob Newton went 2-for-3 with his first home run, two RBI and two runs. Andrew Lawrence had two hits and two runs, Byron Reichstein drove in a run and scored three times, Cleveland Brownlee had two RBI and Keith Kandel drove in two on a pair of hits.

Daniel Gore (1-1) allowed a run on four hits over six innings for the win. He struck out nine and walked four as London moved to 16-5.

Spencer Jamieson drove in the Red Sox lone run in the first inning, driving in Troy Banks.

Bennett Moore (0-5) took the loss, giving up seven runs (six earned) on eight hits over six innings. He walked four and struck out three.

Brantford fell to 0-19.
