Majors stay undefeated
BARRIE – London remained undefeated after a 6-3 win Saturday in Barrie.
Kaiden Cardoso hit a solo home run for the Majors (4-0). Ken Sugi drove in three with a bases-clearing double to put London ahead for good in the second inning. Toby Simmons went 3-for-5 with an RBI, and Byron Reichstein drove in a run.
Majors’ starting pitcher Travis Keys (1-0) picked up the win after giving up two unearned runs on four hits over six innings. He walked three and fanned six.
Skylar Janisse struck out two in a scoreless ninth for his first save of the season.
Nolan Machibroda drove in a run for the Baycats (0-3). Willy Garcia and Ryan Rijo each had a pair of hits.
Barrie starting pitcher Frank Garces (0-1) allowed four runs on five hits in five innings to take the loss. He walked two and struck out six.
