Majors Sign Catcher Jaco for 2021

LONDON - The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of catcher Hayden Jaco.

The former Cameron University student finished his collegiate career during the 2019 season batting .314 which was second on his team to go along with 36 RBI's in 50 games played. Hayden not only gives manager Roop Chanderdat a great option behind the plate but also in 2019 he pitched in seven games, starting five of them and leading his team in ERA. The London resident is a former teammate of Majors speedster and Centerfielder Myles Miller when they both attended Cameron in 2019.

Co-Owner, Manager and General Manager Roop Chanerdat discussed bringing in another local resident that fans can be proud of to wear the Majors uniform "I am looking forward to having Hayden Jaco join the London Majors team.  He is a very versatile player that can play numerous positions on the diamond." "Hayden is coming to the Majors after a successful senior season at Cameron University in 2019.  We will be leaning on Hayden to help the London Majors win games this year."

The former NCAA backstop was asked about joining the team after his successful 2019 season “Getting a chance to play for the Majors makes me feel like a kid again. I get another chance to play my favourite childhood game that I thought I once had to give up, I am excited about this opportunity and I hope we can get some fans in the stadium this summer.”

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
