Majors sign Doyle for 2021 Season

LONDON - The London Majors are happy to announce the signing of left-handed pitcher and outfield Robert Doyle.

Bobby, as he is known by the staff and players has had a productive three years in the Majors uniform with a career .250 average at the dish and has 25 strikeouts over 37.2 innings pitched. Coming in late in games as a speed threat off the bench or a lefty arm out of the pen gives Doyle different ways to make an impact.

The former Beal Raider (London) was asked about what keeps him coming back "Playing for Roop is something you love as a player because he knows how to win and what it takes to be successful. I’m excited to be back for my fourth full season with the majors and to play at the beautiful Labatt Park with the best crowd in the IBL"

Co-Owner, Manager and General Manager Roop Chanderdat spoke highly of the former Fanshawe Falcon pitcher “Bobby is one of the good guys in this league.  He does whatever is asked of him and gives it 100%.  His versatility is important for our team – he can pitch, play all outfield spots at a high level defensively, pinch-run and pinch-hit.

The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
