Majors one win from second round

BRANTFORD – London moved one win from the second round after a 15-7 win over Brantford Saturday night.


Cleveland Brownlee went 4-for-5 with a home run with five RBI for London and Starling Joseph hit a three-run blast. Taylor Wright had two hits, two runs and three RBI, Austin Wilkie went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, Jakob Newton had three hits, four runs and two RBI, and Daniel Perrier drove in a run.


Daniel Gore allowed an unearned run and struck out seven over six innings for the win. He scattered four hits.


Nick Burdett had two hits and two RBI for Brantford. Jesse Fishbaum drove in a run. Evan Ryan and Tyler Wilson each had two hits. Andrew Gorecki had an RBI.


Gabe Bruder was saddled with the loss, allowing 10 runs on nine hits over three innings. He walked five and struck out three.
