Majors' offence goes off against Baycats
LONDON – The London Majors' offence provided the Canada Day fireworks Monday evening at Labatt Park in a 15-3 win over the Barrie Baycats.
Myles Miller went 3-for-5 with two triples, four RBI and two runs for London (12-12). Yuki Yasuda had four hits, three RBI and three runs, Byron Reichstein doubled twice, singled twice and scored twice, Mike Ambrose had two hits, two runs and an RBI, Carlos Arteaga collected three singles and scored three times while driving in a run, Steve Froese had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run, Evan Britt had a sacrifice fly, and Cleveland Brownlee drilled a solo home run.
Juliandry Higuera (4-2) went six innings and allowed two runs on five hits with three walks and nine strikeouts.
For Barrie (15-5), Starlin Rodriguez went 4-for-5 with a run. Conner Morro hit a solo home run, Jordan Castaldo had two hits and a run, while Steve Lewis and Jeff Cowan each had an RBI.
Santos Arias (4-2) took the loss, giving up nine runs on 12 hits over three innings. He struck out five.
