Majors' offence breaks out in romp over Red Sox

BRANTFORD -- Six London players had multi-hit games as the Majors' offence broke out in a 16-6 win Wednesday night in Brantford. 

Hayden Jaco went 4-for-6 with a home run, six RBI and three runs, and Austin WIlkie had three hits, including his first home run, two RBI and two runs. Adam Filmon had three hits and drove in two, Chris McQueen singled, tripled and knocked in a pair of runs, Byron Reichstein went 2-for-6 with three runs and an RBI, and Cleveland Brownlee singled twice, doubled and drove in a run while scoring three times. 

Jarryd Lund (1-1) gave up two runs on two hits in 4.1 innings of relief for the win. He walked two and fanned three as the first-place Majors improved to 13-5. Nick Carrell started and went 2.2 innings, allowing four runs on two hits with six walks and two strikeouts. 

Bennett Moore (0-3) took the loss for the last-place Red Sox (5-14). He lasted two innings, giving up seven runs on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts. 

Jason Pineda homered and drove in two to lead Brantford's offence. Colton Fountain knocked in a run and scored, and Aidan Muir had the other RBI.
