Majors' offence breaks out in Game 4 win

LONDON – The London Majors' offence finally broke out, and it extended their season by at least one game after an 11-6 win over Welland in Game 4 of their best-of-seven quarter-final Sunday afternoon at Labatt Park.

Welland leads the series 3-1. 

Josh Williams went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI for the Majors, who scored nine runs in the first three innings Sunday after scoring nine over the first three games. Mike Ambrose also went deep with a solo blast. Myles Miller had two hits, two RBI and a run, Ismael Pena singled twice and scored twice and added an RBI, Carlos Arteaga singled, doubled and drove in two while scoring twice, and Steve Froese went 2-for-4 with two RBI. 

Juliandry Higuera (1-1) went seven innings for the win, giving up six runs on 11 hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

For Welland, Vaughn Bryan hit a two-run home run. Wilson Soriano went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run, Brendon Dadson drove in a run and scored and swiped a base, Mattingly Romanin drove in two and plated a run, and Nolan Pettipiece singled twice and scored. 

Euclides Leyer (1-1) took the loss, allowing eight runs on seven hits in two innings. He walked two and struck out two.
