Majors inch closer to top spot
LONDON – London moved two games back of Welland atop of the IBL standings following Monday’s 8-3 win over Barrie at Labatt Park.
Kaiden Cardoso singled, doubled and drove in three for the Majors (13-6). Gibson Krzeminski had a pair of RBI, Andrew Lawrence went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base, Starling Joseph and Eduardo De Oleo each had two hits, and Byron Reichstein added an RBI.
Travis Keys (4-1) went six innings in the win, allowing three runs (one earned) on seven hits with three walks and nine strikeouts.
Nolan Machibroda singled twice and drove in a pair for Barrie (11-7). Canice Ejoh and Noel McGarry-Doyle had two hits apiece atop the lineup.
Carlos Sano (0-3) was lifted after giving up seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits with three walks and four strikeouts.
