Majors first team to six wins

LONDON – The London Majors became the first team to six wins with an 11-7 home victory Friday night over Brantford.

Starling Joseph and Champ Garner provided most of the Majors’ offence, while Skylar Janisse earned the win in relief. Janisse allowed a run in 2.2 innings and struck out five.

London starting pitcher Daniel Gore went 3.1 innings and gave up two runs on three hits with seven walks and three strikeouts.

The Majors (6-1) are second behind Guelph in the IBL standings.

Brantford fell to 1-5 with the loss, its second straight. Isaiah Ramos took the loss on the mound, giving up six runs (five earned) on seven hits in three innings. He walked two and fanned three.
