London re-signs pitcher Braeden Ferrington

The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of pitcher Braeden Ferrington, one of the longest-serving members of the ballclub. In 2024, he’ll wear the pinstripes for a 10th straight season.

For his career, the right-hander has appeared in 124 games (regular season and playoffs included). In 2023, despite a nagging injury, he set new single season career highs with 23 appearances and 33 2/3 innings pitched out of the bullpen.

It was a down season, with a 6.95 ERA, but he did record 23 strikeouts and a pair of saves. He also turned in an impressive seven-inning relief appearance late in the regular season against Guelph, striking out eight and earning the win.

“I’m excited and motivated to be back for another season,” said Ferrington. “The fans have been great throughout the years, and the guys in the room will be looking forward to seeing everyone support us this season.”

The righty had his best year in 2021 when he posted a pristine 0.86 ERA and recorded four saves in 12 outings during the regular season to help the Majors capture a pennant. They later won the franchise’s first IBL championship since 1975. They repeated in 2022.

“Reuniting with former players that have won before is always something special,” added Ferrington. “The confidence in knowing what each player brings to the table makes playing less stressful and more comfortable.”

“Ferzy is a veteran player that knows the league and what it takes to win,” said Roop Chanderdat, the Majors’ GM and field manager. “He’s another player who will help in a leadership role.”
