Leafs win fourth straight

BRANTFORD – Toronto extended its win streak to four games with an 11-5 win Friday night in Brantford.


Greg Carrington went 4-for-4 with two triples and three runs to lead the Leafs’ offence. Justin Marra had three hits, three runs and four RBI, Dan Marra went 3-for-4 with two RBI, Jordan Castaldo singled twice, doubled and drove in three, Johnathan Solazzo had two hits and an RBI and Jose Vinicio drove in a run.


Dylan Jacober (2-0) earned the win, giving up two runs on four hits in four innings. He fanned five in relief of Marek Deska, who allowed three runs on six hits over four innings. He struck out three and didn’t issue a walk.


Toronto improved to 16-11. 


Garrett Larner (1-3) took the loss for Brantford, allowing six runs on 14 hits over six innings, walking two and striking out five.

Brodie Mackay drove in two on a pair of hits for the Red Sox (2-22). Liam Sutherland went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs, Troy Banks and Colton Fountain each drove in a run and Nick Burdett went 2-for-4 and scored twice.
