Leafs snap skid
TORONTO – Toronto snapped a four-game losing streak Sunday with a 6-4 win over Brantford at Christie Pits.
Marcus Knecht drove in two for the Leafs (8-19). Ryan Dos Santos went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run, Jordan Castaldo drove in a run and Johnathan Solazzo had two hits and scored once.
Sam Greene (1-1) earned the win in relief, allowing two runs on six hits over five innings. He walked two and struck out five. Greg Carrington pitched a clean ninth for his first save.
Brantford starting pitcher Jeremias Sucre (4-2) was pulled after giving up three runs on three hits and a walk without getting an out.
Offensively, Gus Wilson went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Red Sox (8-18). Jeremie Veilleux drove in two, Marcos Castillo had three hits and scored a run and Jaret Lupton singled twice.
