Leafs-Majors rained out
TORONTO – Monday’s Intercounty Baseball League regular season finale in Toronto was rained out.
The Maple Leafs were set to host London in a game originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon. It will now be played Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Christie Pits.
A London win would force a three-way tie atop the IBL standings with Welland and Guelph, forcing a one-game playoff between the Majors and Royals – based on head to head records between all three teams – to determine the playoffs’ top seed. A Toronto win would push the Majors to third, and Guelph would host Welland in a playoff game.
Regardless of Tuesday’s result, fourth-place Toronto will have home-field advantage against Barrie in its opening series.
