Leafs double Red Sox

TORONTO -- Justin Marra and Garret Takamatsu both went deep as the Toronto Maple Leafs doubled Brantford Sunday afternoon.
Marra's home run was his league-leading 13th of the season, one more than Takamatsu. Both players drove in two against the Red Sox and combined to score three times. Dan Marra and Connor Lewis drove in the other runs.
Brian Sewell (1-0) walked one in two hitless innings of relief for the win. Mateos Kekatos earned his second save despite allowing a run on one hit with a walk. Leafs starter Zach Sloan went four innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits with a walk and five strikeouts.
Luca Lombardi (0-3) took the loss for Brantford, allowing two runs on a hit with two walks in an inning. Adam Jafine started and went five innings, giving up two runs on five hits with six strikeouts.
Michael Deluca and Gianfranco Morello drove in Brantford's runs and combined to collect half of the Red Sox's four hits.
Second-place Toronto will face Hamilton in the first round of playoffs, while Brantford is set to play Kitchener.
