Knecht and Garces Named Rawlings Players of the Month for June

In partnership with Rawlings Canada, the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) is proud to announce its Players of the Month for June. These top performers continued to elevate their teams with stellar contributions throughout the month.

Batter of the Month – MARCUS KNECHT, Toronto Maple Leafs

Toronto slugger Marcus Knecht powered his way to Batter of the Month honours after a standout June. Knecht batted .388 with 19 hits, 6 home runs, 17 RBIs, and 4 walks, providing a consistent offensive spark for the Maple Leafs. His ability to drive in runs and deliver in clutch moments helped keep Toronto in the hunt for home-field advantage in the postseason.

Jhon Javier  - Toronto  .400 AVE  4 HR, 11 RBI

Pitcher of the Month – FRANK GARCES, Barrie Baycats

Frank Garces was a dominant force on the mound in June for the Barrie Baycats. Garces went 3-0 over 23 innings pitched, allowing just 10 runs (8 earned) while striking out 23 batters and issuing only 2 walks. His impressive 2.40 ERA and steady presence helped anchor the Baycats' pitching staff and included a perfect game bid into the 8th inning against London
