Jackfish Sign Catcher Reese O’Farrell for 2019 season

WELLAND – The Welland Jackfish, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) today announce the signing of Catcher Reese O’Farrell for the 2019 season.

O’Farrell, 21, a Burlington, Ontario native, joins the Jackfish after suiting up for the Burlington Herd last season. in 2018, Reese recorded twenty-one hits with six doubles, a home run and seventeen RBI in twenty-three games played.

“Reese is a heart and hustle player that is primarily used as our catcher, but has also played middle infield and corner outfield” said Jackfish General Manager Jason McKay. "We are thrilled to have him in a Jackfish uniform this upcoming season."

The current University of New Mexico Lobos (NCAA DI) catcher has recorded two doubles, a triple and nine RBI in twenty-six game played thus far this season.
