Jackfish Announce Western Tryout Camp

WELLAND - The Welland Jackfish, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) announced that the club will host Open Player Tryouts on Friday, February 28th at Absolute Baseball Academy and Fitness Centre in Calgary, AB and Sunday, March 1^st at UBC Indoor Baseball Facility in Vancouver, BC.

All players 18 and older are eligible to register for the open player tryout. The camp will consist of three one hour indoor sessions, run by Jackfish coaches and baseball operations personnel, where players can show why they belong on the Jackfish roster.

The Free Agent Camp will host a maximum of 40 players. The camp will cost $20 per player. Players are responsible for their own lodging and travel if required.

The Jackfish will contact players after the camp if they have received the opportunity to join the Jackfish for their preseason camp, before the start to the season. Successful players will receive room and board in Welland for the duration of the 2020 season.
