Jackfish Add Depth with Marco and Chan

Welland – The Welland Jackfish, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) today announce the signing of Catcher Greg Marco and Right-Handed Pitcher Aberdeen Chan.

Marco, 24, joins the Jackfish after spending the last two seasons with the Hamilton Cardinals and thier starting catcher giving them well over three-hundred innings of exceptional defense.

A Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni, Marco suited up for the Rangers for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

"Greg is as versatile as it comes, he is primarily a catcher but has given solid innings up the middle in the INF and has even been called on for emergency innings on the mound. Greg is athletic, driven and an exceptionally strong defensive player" said Jackfish General Manager Jason McKay.

Chan, 28, is no stranger to the IBL suiting up for the Guelph Royals (2014-2015) and Mississauga Twins (2010). Playing most of his baseball career as a middle infielder, Chan has made the switch to a right-handed relief pitcher.
