IBL Sets Massive Attendance Record

The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL), Canada's best baseball league, is celebrating its third consecutive season of record-breaking attendance.

Including regular season and postseason games, a grand total of 249,590 fans flocked to IBL stadiums, representing a nearly 65,000 increase from 2024.  The 2025 season saw record-breaking attendance for several IBL franchises such as the Welland Jackfish who was the first IBL team to crack the 50,000 plateau while finishing the season with 70,042 total including playoffs.  Not far behind were the London Majors who welcomed 43,192 (52,848 total) fans into the world's oldest continuously operated ballpark. The Hamilton Cardinals set a new attendance record for the third year in a row, and the Toronto Maple Leafs witnessed record attendance and excitement at Christie Pits.  The IBL also set new records, once again, for corporate sponsorship and viewership of live-streamed games.  On the field, the talent has never been better with over 60 players with MLB or MiLB experience, including 3-time All-Star and World Series Champion, Fernando Rodney.

“The year-over-year attendance growth in the IBL has been incredible and we have every expectation that it will continue to grow,” said IBL Commissioner Ted Kalnins. “It is clear that there is a strong appetite in Canada for affordable baseball entertainment with the special quality of an intimate, Minor League calibre in-stadium fan experience.”
