IBL Power Rankings - Week Four

IBL Power Rankings – Week FOUR

1. Welland Jackfish (8-1)

Last Week: 1st
Yes, they’re human. The Jackfish finally took a loss—at home, no less—against London on Saturday. But true to form, they bounced back Sunday with a hammering of Toronto at Jack’s House. A challenging stretch begins Wednesday vs. Hamilton, and all eyes are on how they navigate it.

2. Chatham-Kent Barnstormers (6-5)

Last Week: 6th
Winners of four straight, the Barnstormers are officially the hottest team in the IBL. Their defense has tightened up, and the pitching staff has getting it done.   This isn't last year’s squad—they might be a lot more that a little trouble come playoff time.

3. London Majors (8-4)

Last Week: 5th
How do you bounce back from nearly being no-hit? You march into Welland and hand the Jackfish their first loss of the season. Roster moves are ongoing, so the next couple of weeks will be key in shaping their trajectory.

4. Hamilton Cardinals (4-3)

Last Week: 3rd
If it’s Friday, the Cards are flying. Hamilton continues to play solid ball on weekends, but the bats went quiet in a 2-1 loss to Chatham-Kent. They had chances but couldn’t cash in. A key midweek matchup looms vs. the league’s top dogs.

5. Kitchener Panthers (5-5)

Last Week: 8th
The biggest jump of the week. A crucial sweep over their rivals signals that Kitchener might be putting it all together. The youth movement is paying off, and momentum is building.

6. Toronto Maple Leafs (5-5)

Last Week: 4th
Friday was fireworks—a wild win in a slugfest. But the rest of the weekend? A dud. Inconsistency defines this group right now, and unless something changes, mid-table mediocrity may be their ceiling.

7. Barrie Baycats (3-6)

Last Week: 7th
Their ace delivered a masterclass on Friday, and the Cats pulled out an 11-inning win. But one heroic performance isn’t enough. The vets need to rally the troops if Barrie wants to claw their way back into contention.

8. Brantford Red Sox (1-9)

Last Week: 9th
Don’t let the record fool you—this team is battling. A few tough-luck losses in the last stretch, but they’re grinding. All it might take is one gritty, ugly win to flip the script.

9. Guelph Royals (4-6)

Last Week: 2nd
What a difference a week makes. Four straight losses and the panic button has been firmly pressed. The Royals are reportedly seeking reinforcements. With their veteran core, it’s now or never to stop the skid.
