HRD PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

London Majors First Baseman Kaiden Cardoso is the HRD Bat Co Batter of the Week.

Kaiden Cardoso continues to turn heads around the Intercounty as he extended his hitting streak to 19 consecutive games in Monday night’s 8-3 victory over the Barrie Baycats at Labatt Memorial Park.  Cardoso finished the week batting .556  (10-18) a double, 2 HR, and 6 RBIs. 

Honorable Mentions to Toronto’s Jonathan Solazzo who hit .500 (7 for 14) week 4 HR, with 4 RBI and Chatham Kent’s  Seth Strong who batted .333 (6 for 18)  with 2 HR with 7 RBI.

Cesar Rosado of the Barrie Baycats is the HRD Bat Co. Pitcher of the Week.  Rosado struck out 13 batters in two appearances over the week pitching 7.1 innings of 1 hit baseball and allowing three walks.

Honorable mentions to Victor Payano of the London Majors blanked the Guelph Royals Friday night at Labatt Memorial Park  pitched 7 Innings allowing just 2 hits , no walks , and struck out 7.

Mitsuki Akatsuka  of the Hamilton Cardinals who held the league leading Welland Jackfish to four hits over seven innings on Canada Day.  Akatsuka allowed two runs (one earned)  no walks and fanned seven as the Cardinals ended Welland’s unbeaten streak.

Jeremias Sucre who blanked the Guelph Royals on Canada Day tossed seven complete innings.  He allowed 6 hits, a walk and tallied 4 Strike outs as his Brantford Red Sox won their 2nd in row.
