Dei Baning and Boon take home Rawlings Player and Pitcher of the Month Awards for July

The Intercounty Baseball League announced on Tuesday their  July Rawlings Player and Pitcher of the Month Award winners.

Dennis Dei Baning - Toronto Maple Leafs - July's Rawlings Canada Player of the Month

Maple Leafs Outfielder Dennis Dei Baning was a menace at the plate, batting .458 with 22 Hits, 4 Homeruns, and driving home 18 RBIs to claim the monthly honors.

Owen Boon - July's Rawlings Canada Pitcher of the Month

Owen Boon claimed his 2nd Rawlings Pitcher of the Month this year, capping off a historic Month for the ace of the Hamilton Cardinals.     Boon pitched the first nine-inning no-hitter in the IBL since Jesse Orosco did it in 1977.     Boon went 2-0 in four starts with a 1.23 ERA, 29.1 Innings Pitched, allowing 5 runs (4 earned), 11 Hits, 10 walks, and 33 strikeouts.
