Connor Bowie returns for 2019

HAMILTON - After a breakout season in 2017, Connor followed that up with a very consistent and successful 2018 season which saw him hit .315 (28-89) in 22 games. Connor also had the biggest Cardinal hit in 15 years, hitting a walk off 3 homerun leading Hamilton to its first play-off series win in over 15 seasons.

Bowie said “I am looking forward to getting back on the field and building on our success from last year. We definitely put the IBL on notice, but only scratched the surface of potential for this group. I think a lot of the returning guys are going be more motivated than ever, and new guys coming in will surely be looking to contribute right away to the winning culture we are establishing. Big year ahead for us.”

“Connor is a huge piece of the Hamilton Cardinals, he is a calming influence in the clubhouse and also a very talented 5 tool player who can beat you in so many different ways. He does so many things well and he plays his best in those close games, we are extremely happy to have him back” states GM Jeff Lounsbury

The Hamilton Cardinals are members of Ontario’s most elite baseball league, The Intercounty Baseball League. The 101 year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, established in 1919.
